Celtek just acquired it's first in-house Intern, Mikey. Mikey comes from the Windy City of Chicago and goes to the University of Utah where he's studyin Economics. In the winter you can catch him on the daily up at Brighton, backflippin his way to victory. The kid can lay it out!

With that said, I want to introduce a new segment to CEL-Talk, Mouthing off with Mikey the Intern. Interns have it rough, usually they don't get paid, they have to clean the toilet and mop the floors. They do the dirty work, and barely get heard, but now, Mikey has a voice.

Eric has come a long way from growing up on the garbage dump sized hills just outside Detroit, Michigan, where he grew up skating and shredding nothing but ice. 2008/2009 was the first year for the WHOA (With Help of Artist)series here at Celtek, and it went off! We teamed up with Artists such as U-God from Wu-Tang, Ari Marcopoulos, and Team Rider: Zac Marben. For the 09/10 season which will be hitting stores early next fall, will be product featuring WHOA Series Artist, Hailee Wright. Hailee, no relation to snowboard photog Andy Wright, is a Salt Lake City Native. Her "Flower Face Girl" has shown up throughout the woman's line for next season and sure is eye catching. Hailee swung into the office yesterday to go over some future product ideas, check out next season's WHOA Series product featuring the art of Hailee Wright!

The weather has been on a whole nother level here in Salt Lake, it has been raining for almost two weeks straight. It's like we swapped with Seattle or somethin, Nuts! Nuts I tell you! And everybody knows when it rains there is no skating, but if you are Team Riders Aaron Biittner and Deadlung,and Erik Leines that rule doesn't apply. Celtek Designer Dave Doman teamed up with friend and SLC local Chuck Landvatter and took part in 337's FACE OFF AT THE URBAN GALLERY this past weekend. They walked away on top, winning both the Jury Prize and the Audience Choice Award. This was the 337 Project's first event of it's kind, having 9 teams face off on BIG garage doors allowing creativity to flow like water. It was an amazing two day event that can all be seen at http://337project.org/ . Congrats goes out to Dave Doman and Chuck for putting together such an amazing piece of art! ESPN recently caught up with CELTEK Team Rider, Bjorn Leines for some one on one time. Bjorn has been slaying it, and does something that blows my mind every time I ride with him. From putting out yet another banger video part with Rome, to now chillin at his home in the backwoods of Minnesota BJ gets it done! Follow this guy around for a day, and I can guarantee you won't be able to keep up, hes a workhorse!
