Dollars For Doman

September 03 2009

September 2, 2009 – DOLLARS FOR DOMAN

Orange County, CA – Celtek designer and well-known Salt Lake City artist Dave Doman suffered a severe head injury while skateboarding in San Clemente, California just over a week ago.

He and Celtek CEO Erik Leines had just wrapped up some sick new designs when they decided to head down to the beach for a surf.  Always up for some fun, Dave thought he’d shoot the hill on his longboard skateboard and swung wide to hang a right onto the next street.  As he was exiting the turn Dave hit a puddle of water, causing his wheels to slide out and sending him headfirst into the asphalt.

Doman was rushed to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, where he is currently in a medically induced coma, recovering from his injuries.

Dave has a long road ahead of him and needs everyone’s thoughts and prayers for a fast, complete recovery.

Hanging out in the ICU isn’t cheap, so Celtek has released a poster and a t-shirt featuring an original piece of Doman’s art to help raise some funds for our buddy.  All proceeds will benefit Dave and his recovery efforts.  Get yours at www.celteksnow.com

ABOUT CELTEK – Celtek is owned and operated by professional snowboarders and brothers, Bjorn & Erik Leines, who work with their world-class team to produce innovative, art-inspired accessories and to push the sport to the next level.  For more info and to sign up for the United Celtek Clan, check out www.celteksnow.com.

Celtek Clan Update With Team Rider: Jj Thomas

September 01 2009

Team Rider JJ Thomas hit me up all the way from New Zealand. Check out what he had to say about his trip so far!

Sheep,Beer, and Snowboarding

Just letting you all know that things down here in the south pacific are going well ..Last week I took some runs with Celtek team riders Sage and Blaze Kotsenburg and then watched them destroy the slope course at the NZ Open..They  were riding hard and standing out with style.Sage was so excited from the contest that he flew last minute to Australia with his friend Chris Willett and rumor has it they kept the momentum, and walked away with some top 5 finishes ,and also landed themselves in TTR's top 10 world rankings..Not a bad way to go into the season!

Ive been busy riding halfpipe and powder.I was even fortunate enough to get a Heli day in with Andy Finch. All in all, life is good down under. The snow is still falling and the pipe and park is still firing ..I hope you all are enjoying summer and getting ready to snowboard this winter!!
