Eric Willet Takes Silver At X-Games Slopestyle
X-Games 14 went off today with Slopestyle Finals! Riders Eric Willet and Sage Kotsenburg battled through the week and made their way into the big show. After both Eric and Sage competed in Big Air the night before, both were pretty beat. They didn't let that hold them back. Sage sent one deep with his first run with a frontside 1080 into a backside double cork 10, and put him in the 3rd spot. He was unable to hold that through the rest of the field, but ended up with a major 5th place finish. For being the youngest kid in the X, Sage killed it! What a debut. But it was Eric Willet who turned the heads. He dropped for his first run without any regret, and put a major run down consisting of a frontside double cork 10 into a double backside rodeo 10! That landed him right in second place. He was able to hold on through 3 runs of the veterans, A big Congrats goes out to Eric and Sage for their sick shredding today!
